Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2012

The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition has been held annually since 1768. It is the world’s largest open-submission contemporary art exhibition. There were over 12,000 entries for the 2012 Exhibition, with successful entries chosen by a panel Royal Academicians. Some of the biggest names in modern British Art have work at the exhibition including Tracey Emin and Christopher LeBrun. In the room where Simon’s work ‘Ludlow Races’ was hung, there are individual pieces of  work with price tags up to £60,000.  The BBC broadcast a programme during the summer featuring the work at the Summer Exhibition.
